Fabric Celebrates 25 Years with Photography Project

Mark Vessey’s photography celebrates the legacy of fabric and fabriclive CD compilations, capturing two decades of club culture and iconic music.

Fabric is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a new photography project by British artist Mark Vessey. The project focuses on the iconic fabric and fabriclive CD compilations, which ran from 2001 to 2018, showcasing their cultural impact and collectability.

The artwork, titled fabric, features stacks of the CDs captured in Vessey’s signature style. It will be available to purchase for a limited time from 29th November to 2nd December.

Vessey shared his excitement about the project:
“Working with such a renowned club and label is an honour. I wanted to capture the significance of their mix series and preserve its legacy for future generations.”

Fabric co-founder Cameron Leslie said:
“Fabric has always been about music, art, and culture. Our CD series was a huge part of that, and it’s great to see it celebrated in this way. Mark’s work immortalises these releases.”

Vessey has worked with big names like Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox, and Defected Records’ Simon Dunmore. His new project also highlights contributions from Ricardo Villalobos, Craig Richards, Ben UFO, Steffi, Robert Hood, Ellen Allien, and more.

As part of the celebrations, Fabric will release Fabric—the Book on 3rd December, reflecting on its 25-year history and influence.
