Making a Splash
Back on Sudd Wax after launching the label in 2017, Gari Romalis is back to stir thing up. To start, with a wave of support and creative energy, Romalis creates a moody dub style on the killer “Windy Mix” of Detroit Metro Terminal. Next, the actual “dub mix” of the track takes things deeper into the depths of the mind. A sublime chord drop defines the main body of the tune.
After that, side two gets into “Land of Oblivian.” It creates a sound which is second to none. Brighter drums are present throughout the arrangement all while the D1 mix of “I Stabb” makes the chord progression sing. It brings a warm and spiritual guidance on the dance floor.
SWX 005 is available now on Juno and represents a sound birthed in Detroit and shared with Clubbers and Music lovers all over the world. This EP brings you deep grooves and intellectual stimulation, enticing you with each beat of the drum.
