Are you ready for a new album that’s sure to get your feet moving? Look no further than DONT BLINK’s latest release, ‘The Statement’. While some may label it as Tech House, in my opinion, it transcends genres and offers a little something for everyone.

DONT BLINK, a Russian duo who launched their label LOW CEILING MUSIC back in 2018/19, have been on my radar since 2019 with their hit track ‘Vibration’ on Sink Or Swim, a label run by the awesome GUZ. But ‘The Statement’ takes things to a whole new level.

From start to finish, this album delivers 12 tracks that are guaranteed to get you moving. The production skills are second to none, and the beats, breaks, and vocals are perfectly crafted. One track that stands out is ‘Garage Vibes’, which gives a nod to the days of Speed Garage / UKG from the 90s – a nice touch!

DONT BLINK’s goal for this album was simple: “Make People Dance”. And they’ve certainly achieved that. In fact, I mixed the entire album myself and can confirm that it’s perfect for a live set on the dance floor – no one will want to leave unless they need another drink or bathroom break!

So why pigeonhole this album into one specific genre? Let’s celebrate the fact that it criss-crosses the spectrum of House Music and Techno. And with LOW CEILING MUSIC and Sink Or Swim backing them, DONT BLINK are definitely on the rise.

Overall, I give ‘The Statement’ a 10/10 rating. So put on your dancing shoes and enjoy!
