Aurora Da Silva / UK
Aurora Da Silva
is no longer the new kid on the block, she is making big waves on the scene, with a fresh face, a funky attitude, rocking a drum machine comes naturally.
Currently shaping Stokes music scene with the collective Death B4 Disco, a plethora of challenging and dynamic events have followed. Aurora has always had an eclectic taste in music which has transcended into her musical outings. Starting off her carer playing funk & disco at nights such as Re:late and Stoked.
A love for radio quickly took over with the start of ‘Monday night funkdown’, Aurora’s weekly show that played chilled funk, soul & boogie. The beginning of Aurora’s residency at legendary night Reckless allowed for her darker side to be cultivated. Playing filthy acid and pumping house all night long at their weekly parties, she quickly built a reputation within the local scene. Guesting a various underground nights through the city became second nature; such as supporting Becki De Funk and warming up for house legends Soul Mekanic at Wonk.
Aurora’s work with visual artist Nick McFarlane has also been turning heads, recording a Boiler Room set with fully sound reactive visuals. Also collaborating with each other at the Death B4 Disco live streamed sessions. Joining forces with the long running Lovebeats team has been the icing on the cake for Aurora recently and succession of love filled parties is soon to take hold of the city.
