After last year’s sold out Back To The Beats show, heavy-weights Krafty Kuts, Plump DJs, Freestylers, Deekline & A. Skillz return to their South London Hub Brixton Jamm for another hit of Beat, Bass and Breaks.
With his ‘Classic Breaks’ podcast hitting half a million downloads and topping Apple’s download chats, well respected turntablist Krafty Kuts takes over Jamm with his Golden-era Breaks set. Prepare for a comprehensive schooling in Breakbeat as Krafty Kuts will be showcasing his underground gems with a pimp tight character.
Plump DJs, the biggest names in Breaks, are also locked in to unleash their classic to current sound, incorporating broader dance styles by fusing Electro, Rave & Breakbeat to create ‘Plump Music’.
Fresh from their US mini-tour tour, The Freestylers celebrate their 20th anniversary with a special FSUK set, honoring the Big Beat sound of the early ‘90s with rare cuts and nostalgic stompers.
Hot Cakes chief and bonafine Bass icon Deekline will be taking over the main room. From his days as a mainstay of the breakbeat garage scene in the late 90s to his years working with the seminal Botchit & Scarper imprint in the early noughties, Deekline has always been at the forefront of the breaks scene, never forgetting his roots. Perhaps best known for his low-slung, 808-fuelled booty breaks bangers on labels such as Rat Records and Hot Cakes, he has travelled the globe pushing the sound for close to two decades.
DJ Technician Conte Crux will be warming up the dancefloor beforehand, with funky re-edits of Old Skool tunes.
A Skillz, Evil Nine, Rennie Pilgrem, Drumattic Twins, Jay Cunning & Jurassik also join for a sonic journey in Bass, on Jamm’s new Martin Audio MLA Compact sound system.
